Our Story
How did we
get here?
NRL22 Canada was created to bring the fast growing sport of precision rimfire competition to shooters across the country. Inspired by the National Rifle League 22 program, the goal was simple: create a format that allows clubs and shooters to compete on the same monthly course of fire while keeping the sport accessible, affordable, and welcoming to everyone.
What started as a small number of clubs running monthly matches quickly grew into a national community of competitors, match directors, and volunteers working together to promote precision rimfire shooting in Canada. By using standardized stages and targets, shooters from different regions can measure their progress and compete on a national leaderboard while still enjoying the local club environment.
Today NRL22 Canada supports matches across the country and helps connect shooters with clubs, training opportunities, and equipment that allow them to grow in the sport. Whether someone is brand new to precision shooting or an experienced competitor, NRL22 Canada provides a fun and challenging environment where skill development, sportsmanship, and community are always at the center of the experience.
